In November and December of 1990, the Australian Under 17 side embarked on a tour of South America. The tour was designed to give the squad some international experience ahead of the Oceania qualifiers for the Under 17 World Youth Cup to be held in New Zealand the following January. Under coach Les Scheinflug the team played a number of club sides and youth teams throughout South America. The first game was against Argentinian club side Gimnasia y Esgrima. | ||||
