This is Sarah Walsh's last match as a member of the Australian team, battling injury to retain fitness and pursuing her career in business marketing she says, in her own words, "I couldn't see myself pushing through to the 2015 World Cup and felt it was the right time to step aside and let our next generation players grow into my position." On the bright side Walshy will continue at least for the coming season for the mighty Sydney FC. This also marked the final match for Pia Sundhage as coach of the USA. As far as China is concerned at least they're fielding 3 teams... nice way to improve the odds. This was an East Asian Football Federation Cup qualifying match. | ||||
