This match was played between the New South Wales state representative side and the visiting Aberdeen club side from Scotland. The N.S.W. team went into this match under strength with a number of the squad overseas with the Socceroos at the 1974 World Cup Finals. Aberdeen interestingly had a defender by the name of Eddie Thomson in their ranks, who would later go onto coach the Australian national team. | ||||
