| The Marconi-Fairfield senior side played a friendly game against visiting club side Vissell Kobe from Japan. Vissell Kobe were in Sydney during February and played a few friendly games in preparation for their 1997 J-League season. Marconi managed to get visiting Italian great Daniele Massaro to put on the shirt for the Stallions in a guest capacity, whilst playing for Vissell Kobe were european internationals Michael Laudrup and Thomas Bickell. | ||||
