The Football Kingz season went down the pan this afternoon at North Harbour Stadium, as a lethargic Kingz side went down 0-2 to a well drilled Adelaide City Force team.
The score was 0-0 at halftime but Adelaide had the majority of the play and always looked sharp on the break, whilst the Kingz once again were consistent at being inconsistent, much to the frustration of the locals fans.
Fred de Jong's retirement is eminent after an inept display up front for the Kingz, while hat-trick hero against the Power a few days ago Aaron Silva had a complete mare.
Adelaide caused the Kingz problems all afternoon and effectively dealt with any Kingz attacks. On this form, I'd expect the Force to claim a top six spot, with them pressuring Carlton.
While the Kingz weren't as woeful as against the Knights, big things were expected today following the Power result, and in the end the crowd was turning on there own players and cheering on the Force attacks in the last five minutes.
So, the Kingz finish with nothing, when it was there for the taking. The two teams they have faced four times - Wolves and Adelaide have been the difference between success and failure. With three games to go against Canberra on ANZAC day, Brisbane at home next Saturday and Power away on the 7th May, the challenge is to try and collect the 9 points and finish in the top half of the table.
At least the Kingz put up a better display that the Kiwi League team, who should give up now and take up line-dancing. Now they were woeful...shite probably best sums their result!

PS - If the Kingz don't put in a bid for Damian Mori in the off-season I'll be screaming blue murder. Damian, if you read this I think you need a new challenge after being at Adelaide for so long. Ring Wynton. You know the number.
