Pretty humdrum win for Souths. I think I have their game figured. They do a lot of running off the ball to release their midfielders into plenty of space. Watch Clarkson/Panopoulos/Lozzer/DeAmicis constantly switch positions by cutting inside and outside ALL the time. It creates huge holes for Trimboli to drop down into. Sort of like Barcelona switching the opposition fullbacks out of position...
That gives em enough time and space to play in their forwards. Curjica is one who has come of age this season and mentioning him in the same sentence as "Socceroo" will not get you laughed at these days.
A Souths player got booked for diving! Talk about laughing...
Curjica hooked a ball across the box that may have been over the line when Orlic arrived with force. Blatsis smashed in a failed corner clearance and Souths' keeper hit a huge punt that Curjica ran onto and scored with some ease.
