I never thought I'd see the day when I said "Thank God for the Tooheys" but the 'beer' giveaway at Marconi last night achieved two things.
1 It helped ease the pain of what was the most inept performance I have ever seen from a Marconi side
and
2 allows me the luxury of remembering very little of last night's proceedings
The current hangover of near terminal velocity is a but a small price to pay to wipe last night's horrendous display from the memory banks.
What I can remember, is Marconi struggling desperately to find their man, and the Kingz scoring 3 goals....much probably, to their own disbelief.
I can't comment on the goals, 'cos I missed two of them, thankfully.
It would be unfair to single out any Marconi player, so I won't..they were all unequals....
Had a chat with the other Forza Fred after the game, and presented Jason Batty with one of Forza Jnr's blow up sheep, in recognition of their performance.....all good fun, and the Kingz boys seemed to be enjoying themselves, as one would expect.
Other than that, not lot to add, other than to say that when we lose at home, we certainly don't do it by half measures.
0-4 to Carlton and now 0-3 to The Kingz.
Doesn't do much for our goal difference.
Well done Kingz, you took full advantage of us on what was certainly an off night, and punished us accordingly.
Trying to take something positive from this,... if it is possible that is, I guess I can say ....at least we DESERVED to get beat this week!.
