Round 4 report by Nick Guoth
South Melbourne 2 - Canberra Cosmos 2

It took 218 minutes for the Canberra Cosmos to score their first ever goal and defender Paul Dee achieved that honour. A lot of help was given by South's goal-keeper, Dean Anastasiadis when he fumbled the ball across the line.

This was probably more surprising to the hometown fans and things got worse when Jason Dunn headed from a corner for a second goal only ten minutes into the second half. Many thought that this would be the first upset of the league.

The home team fought back behind the vocal support of their fans and were able to score two goals, the second a lucky deflection which beat last week's hero Danny Milosevic for the equalizer. In the dying minutes, Ivan Kelic nearly stole the game for Souths.

This was the first away league point for Canberra and the team were happy with the result even though they squandered a 2-0 lead with 35 minutes to play.
