Competition Rules: 2 points for a win; 1 point for a draw Champions, promotions and relegations Cessnock crowned 1928 State League Champions Corrimal Rangers left the State Association in July 1928 and joined the State League. They played friendly matches against the team who had the bye but these matches did not form part of the competition proper.
