Tasmania were invited to participate in a soccer tournament in Auckland New Zealand. Other teams competing were Auckland, Otago, Canterbury and Wellington from New Zealand, Queensland and Northern New South Wales from Australia along with New Caledonia. The format was knockout style and sadly Tasmania faced Auckland in the home side and were eliminated.
