With the World Youth Championships coming up in Malaysia
in June 1997, the Young Socceroos held a week long training camp at the NSWSF
headquarters at Parklea in Sydneys western suburbs. They played four training
games against Superleague clubs Blacktown City, Parramatta Eagles, Bankstown
City and Central Coast. None of those games were thought serious enough for
inclusion in this archive. Following these games the side travelled over to Malaysia where they found a number of local club and representative sides as opponents for warm-up matches. The first of these was against NS Chempaka | ||||
