SOCCEROO GREAT PASSES

We are saddened by the news that Frank Loughran, a member of the 1956 Olympic side, has passed away aged 76 after a short illness. The 'Irish Salesman' as he was known, dazzled crowds with his ability on the ball, often leaving defenders in his wake. Irish born Loughran came to Australia as a 23 year old in 1954, and by the next year, was an integral part of the Australian lineup. In the next few weeks, I will be uploading an interview I did with the wonderful Frank Loughran, several years ago.
