Promotions and relegations
Triestina were crowned 1962 Victorian Metropolitan League Division 1 South Champions.
Triestina were promoted to the 1963 Victorian State League.
A reorganisation of the Victorian Metropolitan League in 1964 resulted in the banning of regional clubs and removal of the zonal system.
Ferntree Gully, South Yarra and Brighton were relegated to the 1964 Victorian Metropolitan League Division 2.
Geelong returned to the Ballarat and Geelong District League.
Yallourn returned to the Latrobe Valley Soccer League.
